My connection to Neishes is very peripheral: the subject is the wife of my 2nd great grand uncle, John Ross. Jane's birth date comes from her headstone. We know she was born in Scotland, but I cannot find a matching record in the OPR. Anybody recognize this lady?

Searching for Information on 3rd Great Grand Father
My 3rd Great Grandfather Peter Neish was born in Glasgow in 1873. He immegrated to the United States sometime before 1821 where he married Lucinda Ellen Martin in Pennsylvania. I would be interested in corresponding with anyone who may have information about Peter or his ancestors or descendents.

hi my name is robert neish im 27 ..i lost my father 2 yrs ago named robert alexander neish.
i decided to look up my name as i would love to trace it back as far as possible.
i was amazed to see how many neishes there are, my father was from fife in scotland , buckhaven to be more exact.

It's nice to see some other Neish'es out there! I've never met or spoken to a Neish that wasn't a close relative! We aren't very common in New England; in fact, I think we're the only Neish'es *in* New England...

just surving the net thought i would punch in my name and was amazed at all sites listed under the name neish. i have only been using a computer for a couple of months, decided to just to fill in time. i grew up in crieff scotland not far from st fillians and neish island which i actually swam out to, but that was many years ago. lang may yer lum reek.
