I married a Neish in Canada

I am posting this in hopes that someone can help me trace my husband's (David Neish) and my father in laws (John Neish) roots.

I know that Ted Neish came to Canada from somewhere in England. Ted was posted in the Navy for many years and passed away about 10 years ago. The family was not close.

Anything familiar?

NEISH emigrated to Canada

Hi Tammy, I can possibly help but what about a few more clues?
David NEISH your husband's birth year?
John NEISH your father-in-law's birth year?
Their middle names?
Your mother-in-law's full name and birth year.
Any other information? brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles.
Where does Ted fit in? Is that really Edward?

Hi there Tammy, I'm sure someone here will help you, a lot of the neishes came from the north of Scotland, & then went on there merry way, first find out where your husband came from, i,e Scotland , or england, & then get in contact with the local authorities there, & they should be able to help you.

p.s they are a lot of David Neish'es in New York U.S.A.

regards

Hi, I'm a Neish living in

Hi, I'm a Neish living in Rhyl, NorthWales! My Mother moved down to Wales when she married my Father, and she made sure that the name wasn't lost by getting married. Have only ever met one other Neish living in Wales, but I'm sure there's a few more hiding in the hills somewhere! I have seen Neish Island many times, as my Grandparents used to own a house not far away in Crief, and I play golf quite often at the St Fillans course near Loch Earn, it really is nice to see where you're named after! I recommend visiting to any other Neish!

James Neish in Port Royal Jamaica

Hi, my name is Ramona. I am looking for any connections to James Neish in Jamaica. He is my Great Great Grandfather. Currently the Isalnd Records office in Jamaica is researching all details pertaining to my Grand father Charles James Hay. He was born in Port Royal on the 16.12.1889. His parents were Nathaniel Alexander Hay and Mary Isabella Neish. They were married on the 08/11/1888 @ St. Peter's Church Port Royal, Jamaica. Mary Isabella's father was James Neish and she had a bother with the same name. As yet I am awaiting for research to be conducted on James (Snr) and James (jnr). I do know that one of them was married to Harriet A. Neish. Your comment posted in regards to James (jnr) and Isabelle made me wonder if there could be a connection. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated. My Grand father Charles James Hay studied in Bath, UK from 1900-1906 before moving to Ceylon (Sri Lanka) where he met and married my Grandmother.
